SinoFresh Nasal Spray For H1N1 (Swine Flu) Virus

SinoFresh Nasal Spray Achieves Positive Results Against H1N1 (Swine Flu) Virus in Initial Pilot Animal Study

Test data suggests that nasal treatment with SinoFresh decreased the severity and/or incidence of H1N1 infection in test group animals.

VENICE, Fla., SinoFresh Healthcare Products, Inc. announced today the successful results of its initial pilot animal study testing the efficacy of the SinoFresh Nasal Spray product when used on animals infected with the H1N1 ("swine flu") virus. The study data suggests that treatment with SinoFresh allowed the infected animals to recover more rapidly from H1N1 infection than did untreated animals. In addition, pre-treatment with SinoFresh Nasal Spray decreased the severity and/or incidence of infection.

Dr. Michael Stampar, D.O., Senior Medical Advisor to SinoFresh Healthcare Products, stated, "We are very encouraged by this initial study report and will continue to develop data to support our belief that SinoFresh Nasal Spray, a broad based antiseptic solution is an important component in protecting the health of patients that are exposed to the H1N1 ('swine flu') virus."

The study which was conducted by SRS International Corp of Falls Church VA. was conducted over 14 days and was designed to evaluate the severity of infection from H1N1 ("swine flu") virus in the Cotton Rat animal model, a well accepted model for studying human nasal and respiratory tract infection by viruses and other microbial pathogens. In this study, the test animals were inoculated with H1N1 and then received SinoFresh Nasal Spray in the nose three times daily for 14 days. The study evaluated the product's likelihood of efficacy in both prevention and treatment. One group of animals was treated with SinoFresh Nasal Spray prior to inoculation with H1N1 and a second group was treated starting 15 minutes after inoculation with H1N1 while the remaining "control group" received no treatment during the overall 14 day study period.

The Company has now also initiated a study to evaluate the product's ability to reduce or eliminate viral shedding which is the main method of transmission of the H1N1 flu virus. The active phase of the additional study has been completed and is in the laboratory for evaluation. Results are expected in the next few weeks. SinoFresh Healthcare Products, Inc. is a privately held exclusive marketer of innovative upper respiratory system therapies.

The Company uses broad-spectrum antiseptic approaches to reduce viral, bacterial, and fungal organisms that are suspected to cause pathogenesis of the mouth, nose, and throat. The Company's lead product, SinoFresh Nasal Spray, is a hygienic cleansing spray that kills germs and removes other nasal-sinus irritants. This product and a planned series of follow-on products built on the Company's proprietary technology will, in time, exploit an enormous global opportunity for the SinoFresh product line as people begin to understand the benefit of using a daily preventative antiseptic product that can actually address the causes of diseases in the upper respiratory area.

THE TRAVLERS ADVANTAGE COMBATING TWO SILENT HAZARDS

As a pilot for more than thirty years I have relied upon check lists for my safety and the safety of my passengers. About ten years ago, I modified my take off check list as follows:
DOORS CLOSED AND SECURE : CHECK
TAXI CLEARANCE : CHECK
TAKE OFF CLEARANCE : CHECK
CABIN PRESSURE SET : CHECK
SINOFRESH : CHECK!!

Let me explain:
For the duration of most commercial flights, passengers are confined to an environment that has been created for them, as well as being exposed to all the airborne viral and bacterial germs brought aboard the aircraft by the many passengers.

Pressurizing the aircraft is done to offset the effects of high altitude flight. Basically this means, there is not enough atmospheric pressure at high altitudes to allow the body to release CO2 and nitrogen gasses. In creating an atmosphere that can be tolerated by humans, the generated air is very hot and dry, (10% to 20% humidity) and must therefore be cooled prior to release into the cabin, though remaining very dry.

If you have ever wondered why flight attendants push the consumption of liquids during flights, now you know; so you can remain hydrated. What you may not know; The environment that has been created dries out the sensitive membranes in the upper airway where viruses take hold. If your nasal and sinus passages dry out, your body’s natural defense mechanism, (a moist healthy nose), is severely compromised.

Combating the second Silent Hazard, specifically, the quality of the air you breathe during flight has been controversial since the 60’s-era aircraft began to be phased out. With the newer turbofan jet engines, more air means better fuel efficiency. Drawing off air to circulate through the cabin makes the engines less efficient, thus burning more fuel and costing the airline more money. The greatest risk here is confined space and communicable diseases among the passengers. Many airlines have published glowing reports regarding pristine air quality, however most samples are taken at peak performance of the aircraft engines. In today’s crowded airspace the potential for ground delays are very common resulting in the conditioning system being less efficient. There can be little doubt what impact this has on your health. One researcher from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that 72% of passengers on a particular jet that had experienced a lengthy delay on the ground caught the flu!!

What is the SinoFresh Travelers Advantage? First and foremost, as a pilot bound by very stringent FAA rules governing drug screening requirements, I do not have to be concerned about side effects such as downiness, impaired judgment, rebound dependency, and a host of other issues often encountered with the use of drugs, even many over the counter remedies. Beyond that important advantage, by using SinoFresh, I know I am helping my nose’s natural moistening process. A friend of mine, Dr. Michael Stampar, who is a Ear, Nose and Throat physician has often told me this is very important. And lastly, but of extreme importance is the ability SinoFresh has in killing germs and bacteria in the nose before they can bring harm to me and others whom I may be breathing on. Over the years I have developed the notion that cleansing my nose is as important as cleansing my hands in the personal prevention regimen I embrace to defend against upper respiratory diseases. I have also learned that the use of SinoFresh is no more intrusive than brushing my teeth and gargling with an antiseptic mouth wash.

By the way, we have all heard about the grammar school teacher who developed a certain product because “she was tired of being sick.” As an aircraft pilot, I invented and patented SinoFresh with a similar goal in mind utilizing my knowledge and understanding of airplane systems and traveler’s needs.
