What Germs Are you Taking Home?

VIRAL PREVENTION - IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE???

There can be no doubt; we live in a world that is faced with the constant threat of viral and bacterial upper respiratory infections. The media is filled with alarming articles on swine flu, bird flu, MRSA and Norovirus, just to mention a few. Leading scientist are stating in unison, “It is no longer a matter of if a pandemic outbreak will occur, it is a now a matter of When while many other experts are saying, it is already happening!!

The nose and throat play a vital role in the infectious process since better than 99% of all airborne diseases gain access to your body via the mouth and nose. Consider as an example an airplane environment; No matter the high quality of air that is provided for airline passengers, if a person finds themselves sitting next to an influenza carrier and that person sneezes or coughs, thus atomizing viral germs into the space of others, there is a high probability that people in the near vicinity will come down with the flu.

World health organizations have little to offer in terms of prevention other than to emphasize washing hands often with antimicrobial soaps and lotions. During the recent out-break of H1N1 (swine flu) people were left to wonder; if you come into contact with a flu carrier in the way stated earlier, breathing the air someone has just sneezed or coughed into, what will clean hands do to protect you? If on the other hand you choose to wear a cumbersome face mask as the masses were recently seen doing, one that is not hermetically worn against your face, how much protection will you really have? Is it logical to cleanse your hands every time you touch something such as a door knob, hand rail, elevator button, drawer, paper money and coins, food service counter (I think you get the picture), just how many hand cleansings will it take in a day in order to protect yourself?

WHAT IF YOU COULD CLEANSE YOUR NOSE AND THROAT with an antimicrobial solution that has been formulated to be effective against both viral and bacterial germs and yet be pleasing and refreshing? Would not that be a more effective, less intrusive method of protection? Does this sound like some futuristic method that your children could look forward to? The fact is, the product is here now and is already in wide scale retail and internet distribution. The product is called SinoFresh Nasal and Sinus Care.

TODAY’S TRAVELERS, HOW SAFE ARE WE?

TODAY’S TRAVELERS, HOW SAFE ARE WE?

“Driven by consumer concerns, health related issues are likely to become the single greatest factor in the decision making process governing cruise and airline travel”.
Charles Fust, 2009

The buy line for this article at first glance appears to strike fear, nevertheless, consider the recent outbreak of swine flu and the impact it is having upon travelers worldwide, especially the cruise and airline industry. Cruise ships have recently diverted from their itineraries, some choosing to not make port stops at all, airline passengers are screened before boarding with authorities looking for “flu like symptoms” and all the while, people become increasingly alarmed. During this period of heightened awareness, health officials are constantly reminding us, that other than the obvious, hand cleansing using antimicrobial/antiseptic lotions and soaps are the only basic precaution at our disposal.

Many now believe that the swine flu outbreak we are experiencing pales in comparison to what could happen as we approach the next flu season. If these predictions are accurate, how many consumers will feel comfortable in crowed travel oriented spaces, especially terminals, eateries, planes and cruise ships? Except for those whose jobs depend upon travel, it can be assumed leisure travel will be severely crippled.

Cleansing ones hands, while not completely fail safe, is touted by many medical authorities as an important means of prevention. This is based upon the fact, by touch; viral germs can be transferred from various surfaces such as door knobs, hand rails, currency, chairs, hand dryers, toilet levers and many other places to our hands.. Once our hands come into contact with these surfaces, as we then touch our nose and mouth, germs gain access to our own upper respiratory system..

What if it was possible to create an environment in our nose and throat that would be inhospitable to harmful germs? Wouldn’t this be a great adjunct to the concept of cleansing our hands? We have all accepted that prevention and killing germs is normal and routine in terms of health benefits for our mouth, teeth and gums, why would we not consider protecting our nose and throat?
Due to coughing and sneezing, we must also consider the aerated germs that invade our immediate space, specifically contaminating the air we breathe, are not going to be impeded in the least by cleansing our hands. Now that we can, administering an extra measure of protection directly at the body’s gateway, specifically our nose and throat, may represent one of the most significant breakthroughs imaginable.

While this may sound a little futuristic, there is a product now available that has been formulated to kill germs in the nose and deep throat. The product, SinoFresh Nasal and Sinus Care is in wide scale retail and internet distribution. Further information can be obtained by visiting www.sinofreshstore.com

PRICING VERSES VALUE/RESULTS

PRICING VERSES VALUE/RESULTS
BY: Charles Fust
Inventor and Founder, SinoFresh Laboratories, Inc.

I have been asked many times over the years, “Why does SinoFresh™ Nasal and Sinus Care cost so much?” My first response is always, “Compared to what?” While this may seem somewhat cliché, my answer is substantiated by years of observation and research, further tempered by my own personal experiences.

Consumers who suffer through debilitating chronic sinusitis (CS) symptoms several times in any given year have, up until now, had basically two choices: to either self medicate themselves or to visit their physician. The outcome, no matter their choice, has always resulted in treatment of their symptoms.

What value can be assessed in terms of possibly not having the chronic episode in the first place? In addition to the pain and suffering, would not the prevailing illness register terrible consequences in terms of lost wages, physician office visits, expensive Rx treatments and over-the-counter treatment which can result in two or three different therapies often times necessary to deal with more than one symptom?

In 2000, Mayo Clinic announced in the Wall Street Journal they had concluded an exhaustive study of CS sufferers which resulted in discovery, for the first time, the triggering mechanism responsible for typical CS episodes. The article and a patent Mayo was awarded clearly identified numerous strains of mold and fungus as the culprit. In simple lay terms the Mayo findings were stated: As the nose filters and the sinuses condition the air we breathe, mold and fungus becomes trapped. In many individuals, this triggers an immune system response as their body fights to rid itself of the cumulative burden. As the immune system response intensifies, symptoms begin to appear such as watery eyes; headaches; and dry, stuffy and inflamed noses leading to swollen nasal and sinus tissues. Since mold and fungus are in such great abundance throughout the environment, often times exacerbated in warm, wet climates; trees; grass; air conditioning ducts; faulty plumbing; leaky buildings; and other fertile breeding habitats, CS episodes seem almost inescapable.

In 1996, SinoFresh™ began working with intra nasal applications of antiseptic and antifungal ingredients capable of killing exactly the types of mold and fungus described in the Mayo study. For its efforts, SinoFresh™ was rewarded with a patent portfolio numbering more than 100 patents worldwide and in 2000, began to commercialize the product SinoFresh™ Nasal and Sinus Care. This product, while pleasing and refreshing to use, has ingredients designed to kill mold and fungus in the nasal passage, before the pathogens can bring harm. A disruptive technology has evolved that is revolutionizing contemporary views on CS.

This all brings me back to the cost versus value/results question. The price of any pharmaceutical product can not be measured solely in terms of production cost or by comparison to a product that is less expensive, entirely different and possibly inferior. One has to consider the enormous price that must be paid for scientific evaluations, studies, research, patents, marketing, promotion and a host of other expenses all of which are directly related to the complexities encompassing retail cost. New technology creates an even greater cost burden due to the enormous expenses associated with consumer education and brand awareness. Obviously if the technology did not exist prior to the invention, consumers and the medical community have to be informed.

Over the years, many of the tens of thousands of satisfied SinoFresh customers have said to me: personally, “I don’t care what the product costs, just don’t stop making it!” Like me, they are experiencing happier, more productive life styles free of the pain and suffering associated with CS and like me, agree, pricing pales in comparison to results when viewed from a proper perspective.
